Montgomery County boy upset about haircut skipped school, reported missing

WASHINGTON — A 10-year-old Montgomery County boy was not happy with his haircut and skipped school, setting off a frantic search when he was reported missing.

On Monday morning, Montgomery County police searched the 3000 block of Hewitt Avenue for 10-year-old Kevin Salgado after he didn’t get on the bus to go to Harmony Hills Elementary School, according to WUSA 9.

He was reportedly unhappy with his new haircut — because he didn’t have the right hairgel for his mohawk.

When he missed the bus, he spent most of the day sulking in the stairwell of his apartment, WUSA 9 reports.

The boy returned home when he was hungry.
