Police investigate several Saturday shootings

BALTIMORE (AP) — Baltimore police are investigating several weekend shootings that left one person dead.

The Baltimore Police Department says the shootings happened Saturday afternoon and evening.

Police were called Saturday afternoon to the 3300 block of W. Belvedere Avenue for a report of a shooting. The adult male victim was later pronounced dead. Police were also called to the 900 block of N. Caroline Street for a report of a shooting. The victim is currently in critical condition after being shot in the head.

Two other men were shot, one in the leg and another in the foot. A fifth man was also shot in the leg. Police say that man was attempting to collect rent money from a tenant when he was approached by a man attempted to rob him.
