School Board Member Pleads for Civil Discourse — School Board member Noah Simon is asking parents who are upset with Arlington Public Schools policies and proposals to engage in a civil public discourse and stop name-calling, particularly on social media. He was irked by parents who suggested that school leaders “don’t care about children with special needs” because of a proposal to cut funding for some staff aides for children with autism.
