Police say girl, 13, raped in Frederick

WASHINGTON — Frederick police have arrested a man on charges he raped a 13-year-old girl.

The police say that they received a rape allegation on Monday. After an investigation, they identified Cristian Escobar-Revolorio, 21, of Frederick, as a suspect.

Police say Escobar-Revolorio lived in the same house as the teen and was the boyfriend of one of her relatives.

The child’s mother contacted police about the statutory rape. A 13-year-old cannot legally consent to sex in the State of Maryland.

Police charged Escobar-Revolorio with second-degree rape; second-, third- and fourth-degree sex offense; and sex abuse of a minor.
