School bus crash reported on River Road

WASHINGTON – A school bus collided with a blue Mustang along River Road Wednesday afternoon.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue says the vehicles crashed at River Road and Seven Locks Road about 1:45 p.m.

Fire officials say 19 students and one adult were evaluated for minor injuries and were expected to be taken to the hospital as a precaution.

The students are fifth graders at Anne Beers Elementary School. They were visiting the German School in Potomac, Md., for a field trip, according to D.C. Public Schools.
