Remains of Va. man who disappeared in 2004 found

KEENE, Va. (AP) — Police are investigating the death of a Fluvanna County man who had been missing since 2004.

Police say remains found last week near Keene in Albemarle County have been identified as those of Jesse Hicks of Antioch.

The Albemarle County Police Department tells media outlets that no additional information will be released because the investigation is ongoing.

Fluvanna County sheriff’s investigators say Hicks left his home for work on Sept. 1, 2004 and didn’t return. His pickup truck was found in Nelson County on Sept. 5, 2004.
