PURE nightclub in Vegas to close for full remodel

LAS VEGAS (AP) — One of Las Vegas’ top nightclubs has announced it will close at the end of the month for a full remodel expected to wrap up early next year.

The lengthy overhaul of PURE Nightclub inside Caesars Palace is set to begin after Memorial Day weekend.

The club opened in 2004 and features sheer white drapes and modern, white furniture. It was named the top nightclub in the country by E! Entertainment after its first year.

But the club has slipped in rankings and in revenue. It placed sixth in the trade publication Nightclub & Bar’s 2014 rankings of the nation’s top-grossing clubs.

The publication estimated PURE brought in $30 million to $35 million in 2013.

PURE was recently acquired by the company that owns Hakkasan nightclub at MGM Grand.
