&pizza Opens In Bethesda

Inside of &pizza, which opened Monday on Old Georgetown RoadThe long awaited first Maryland location of &pizza opened Monday morning on Old Georgetown Road.

The D.C.-based fast casual pizza concept was mum about opening plans at 7614 Old Georgetown Rd. until it announced its opening on Facebook.

The store is next to the popular Chipotle location near the Bethesda Metro station and with only some seats, seems more geared toward takeout orders.

The pizzas are long rectangles instead of circles and the menu lets customers build their own with a choice of doughs, sauces, cheeses and meats. There are also suggested pizzas, salads and desserts, including a nutella pizza covered with pecans, strawberries and other items.

Signature pizzas will run you $8.96. Make your own pies cost the same, though a plain pizza costs $6.84.
