Sporting KC blanks Impact 3-0

MONTREAL (AP) — Dom Dwyer scored twice to give first-place Sporting Kansas City a 3-0 victory against the Montreal Impact on Saturday afternoon.

Dwyer scored the winner in the 18th minute to give Sporting (5-2-2) the lead after the Impact’s Collen Warner was ejected for handling the ball with his arm in the 6-yard box.

Paulo Nagamura also scored for Kansas City in the first half, before Dwyer added his second of the game midway through the second half.

The Impact (1-5-3) have six points in the Eastern Conference.
