Eagles will kick off Day 3 of draft with pick 101

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The Philadelphia Eagles are on the clock to start Day 3 of the NFL draft after upgrading their pass rush and receiving corps in the first three rounds.

The Eagles acquired the first pick (No. 101) in Saturday’s fourth round from Houston. It’s one of four picks the Eagles enter the day holding. They also have Houston’s fifth-round pick (no. 141), their fifth-rounder (No. 162) and a seventh-rounder (No. 237).

The defending NFC East champions selected Louisville linebacker Marcus Smith with the 26th overall pick. They took Vanderbilt wide receiver Jordan Matthews in the second round (No. 42) and Oregon wideout Josh Huff in the third round (No. 86).

Philadelphia opened the draft with six picks and has added one more following three trades.
