Twins reinstate Hicks from 7-day DL

DETROIT (AP) — The Minnesota Twins have reinstated outfielder Aaron Hicks from the 7-day disabled list.

Hicks ended up with a concussion when he crashed into the center-field wall against the Los Angeles Dodgers on May 1.

The Twins also announced Friday that they have selected the contract of utilityman Chris Parmelee from Triple-A Rochester. To make room for Parmelee on the 40-man roster, the Twins have designated Double-A outfielder Kenny Wilson for assignment.

Minnesota has played four straight games without star first baseman Joe Mauer, who has been dealing with back spasms. He was out of the starting lineup again for Friday night’s game at Detroit.
