D.C. rapper Styme says he’s a lucky charm

WASHINGTON — When the Wizards face the Pacers Friday night in Game 3 at the Verizon Center, will fans hear Styme?

His rap, called “I’m Gettin It (The Wizards Playoff Anthem),” wasn’t played at Verizon Center during Game 3 of the Chicago series, and the Bulls won. It was played at Game 4, which the Wizards won.

The Wizards organization has made clear that Styme, a D.C. rapper and diehard Wizards fan, and his song are not sanctioned by the team.

Styme’s cool with that.

“I did it for my city. I did it for the team. I don’t want [any] money for it.”

Still, Styme says that results speak for themselves, and he’s rooting for the team he loves.

“Let’s go Wizards. I need the whole team to turn up on ’em, and let’s get this win.”
