Bears draft Arizona State’s Sutton in third round

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) — The Chicago Bears have added another defensive tackle, taking Arizona State’s Will Sutton in the third round after going with LSU’s Ego Ferguson in the second on Friday.

The Bears picked two defensive linemen after grabbing Virginia Tech cornerback Kyle Fuller with the 14th pick on Thursday, the latest additions as they retool a unit that ranked among the worst last season. Chicago went 8-8 and missed the playoffs for the sixth time in seven years.

Sutton captured his second straight Pac-12 Conference Defensive Player of the Year Award last season with 48 tackles — 13 ½ for loss — and four sacks. He had 161 tackles and 20 ½ sacks in four seasons at Arizona State.
