Rare shark captured in Japan (Video)

WASHINGTON — It’s been labeled as a “shark,” but according to these pictures, this animal looks like something else.

According to GrindTV, a public necropsy was recently performed on a rare mega-mouth shark caught in Shizuoka, Japan. Roughly 1,500 attended the public showing at the Marine Science Museum

The 13-foot female megamouth shark was 13 feet long.

It’s only the 58th megamouth caught or seen, according to WPTV.
