Indians OF Bourn returns to lineup after injury

CLEVELAND (AP) — Indians centerfielder and leadoff hitter Michael Bourn expects to return to the lineup after missing four games because of an injured left hamstring.

Bourn says he’s confident he’ll return for the series finale Thursday against Minnesota after running the bases and taking batting practice Wednesday.

Bourn left Saturday’s game with tightness in his leg after beating out a bunt against the Chicago White Sox.

Bourn had surgery on the hamstring in October, but strained it in spring training and began the season on the disabled list. He’s batting .266 with four RBIs and two stolen bases.

Nyjer Morgan, recalled from Triple-A Columbus when Bourn was injured, likely will stay with the team.
