MCPS To Hold Meetings On Fairness Of Private Donations – MCPS is studying the fairness of its private booster donation policy, especially when it comes to funds raised by schools with wealthier parent populations. Critics say the current policy leads to inequities between schools. ‘House of Cards’ Won’t Be Bolting Across the Potomac – According to Virginia’s Film Office director, the Netflix show’s demands for incentive were too much for the state. The production company behind the show threatened to stop filming in Maryland if it wasn’t given millions more in tax credits.
