Founded in 2001, Metropolitan School of the Arts teaches performing arts to students of all ages on two campuses in Alexandria and Lorton VA.

Our programs include: The Academy at MSA: A private secondary school for young artists in grades 7-12 that provides conservatory style arts training in dance, music and theater alongside a fully accredited, college preparatory academic curriculum.

The Studio: A nationally recognized, pre-professional arts training program offering classes and lessons in dance, theater and music for students of all ages. The studio also offers an extensive mind-body fitness program for adult students and an extensive summer arts program for novice students through professionals. MetroClub: A after school arts centered program for students grades K-6, with transportation, from local elementary schools.

The Companies: Three pre-professional youth dance companies, Metropolitan Youth Ballet, Metropolitan Youth Tap Ensemble and iMpulse Jazz company that further our mission by working at a professional standard to create and perform works that inspire and motivate excellence.
