Ashburn man charged with killing estranged wife

WASHINGTON – An Ashburn man has been arrested on a first-degree murder charge for killing his estranged wife.

Braulio M. Castillo, 43, was arrested Tuesday, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s office.

His wife, Michelle G. Castillo, also 43, was found dead in her Belmont Station Drive in Ashburn on March 20. Sheriff’s officers were sent to the home for a welfare check.

As part of the investigation, officers searched two locations and conducted a door-to-door canvas.

Castillo was being held without bail Wednesday.
