Man arrested for abducting, assaulting girl as she waited for bus

WASHINGTON — A man is in custody after a 12-year-old girl says he grabbed her, took her to his apartment and inappropriately touched her.

Walter Yomar Gomez-Lemus, 22, was arrested at his Fairfax County apartment at 7900 block of Janna Lee Avenue.

The girl told police Gomez-Lemus pulled her into her apartment as she waited for her school bus in the building. Once in his apartment, he touched her inappropriately. She broke free and made it to her bus.

Gomez-Lemus was charged with abduction with intent to defile and aggravated sexual battery.
