Juno star comes out as gay

WASHINGTON – Ellen Page, who broke onto the scene in her 2008 portrayal of a pregnant teen in the Academy Award-winning film, Juno, has come out as gay.

She made the announcement on Friday during a speech to LGBT youth at the TIME to THRIVE conference at the Bally’s Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Page, 26, said “I suffered for years because I was scared to be out. My spirit suffered, my mental health suffered and my relationships suffered…I’m standing here today, with all of you, on the other side of all that pain.”
