Metro commuters will be happy to know a new Dunkin’ Donuts location is open just steps from the Bethesda station escalators.

The store, in the bus bay facing retail space of 7500 Old Georgetown Rd., opened on Monday morning.

The Luis Group, which operates the existing Dunkin’ location on Bethesda Row (4810 Bethesda Ave.), also hopes to open a combination Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin Robbins in late March or early April next to Smashburger at Norfolk and Cordell Avenues.

A Bethesda-Chevy Chase Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting ceremony is set for Monday, Feb. 10 at the new Metro location.
