And the top ten pizza toppings are …

WASHINGTON — Breaking news: Pepperoni is the most popular pizza topping in the U.S. and Canada.

That might not surprise you, but some of the other findings from a recent study of the most popular toppings might. For example, 37 percent of all pizza orders include a plain cheese pizza and 52 percent of people order meat toppings.

Foodler’s list of top 10 pizza toppings, as reported by the Huffington Post, are as follows:

  1. Pepperoni
  2. Mushrooms
  3. Onions
  4. Sausage
  5. Bacon
  6. Extra cheese
  7. Black olives
  8. Green peppers
  9. Pineapple
  10. Spinach
