WTOP to Debut Daily Commentary with Clinton Yates

WASHINGTON – Popular Washington Post columnist Clinton Yates joins WTOP as a contributor with daily commentary, “My Take.”

The feature will air at 5:35 AM and 8:35 AM Monday through Friday during WTOP’s top-rated morning program, anchored by Mike Moss and Joan Jones. “My Take” will be Yates’ unique view of life in the DMV and beyond, from sports to politics to pop culture.

“Radio is the original journalism media that I fell in love with as a kid,” said Yates. “The opportunity to work with a powerhouse station like WTOP is tremendous.”

Yates is a DC native who is a Washington Post columnist and author of “Lunchline,” as well as a regular commentator on cable news networks. Yates has been a regular in-studio guest on WTOP since January of 2013, winning many fans with his honest commentary on issues in the news. Yates is excited about the opportunity to connect with his many fans on WTOP.

“My Take” debuts Monday, February 3 at 5:35 AM and online at wtop.com. Chris Core’s “Core Values” will continue to air in the afternoons and evenings on WTOP, as part of commentary and analysis from all sides.
