Scammers taking $9.84 from bank accounts

WASHINGTON – Check your credit card bill because if you have a charge for exactly $9.84, you may have been scammed.

Why are crooks charging this small amount to stolen credit card numbers?

Jordan Goodman, a personal finance expert and author of “Master Your Debt,” says crooks don’t think people will notice such a small amount missing.

On Wednesday, Goodman said it has been happening all over the country.
