Two die in Prince George’s County crash

WASHINGTON – Two people are dead after a car crash in Prince George’s County early Monday morning.

The driver of a red SUV lost control of the vehicle while traveling northbound on Indian Head Highway at about 2 a.m. The SUV tumbled over an overpass and landed on Oxon Hill Road.

A man and a woman died following the crash. Emergency crews transported another man to an area hospital. He is expected to be OK.

Officials closed all lanes of Route 414/Oxon Hill Road between Route 210 and National Harbor for several hours to investigate the crash. All lanes reopened at about 7:15 a.m.

Officials have not yet released the names of the people who died or the circumstances surrounding the crash.
