Robotic bartender mixes like a pro, can tell if you’ve had enough

WASHINGTON – If you’ve ever waited long for a drink at the bar, a new invention is right up your alley. It’s called Monsieur and at the push of a button, this boxy tabletop device will dispense your favorite drink for you. It comes loaded with up to 300 types of drinks.

Monsieur is programmable with themes too so punch in Bachelorette Party or Irish Pub and it offers drinks based on that theme.

Monsieur has a touchscreen and it’s stocked with alcohol and mixers. But inventor Barry Givens tells Gizmag that he created Monsieur with a sense of responsibility. It keeps tabs on how much you’ve had to drink and calculates your blood alcohol level. If you’ve gone too far, it prompts you to order an Uber car or a cab.

Using an app, the Monsieur can have a drink waiting for you when you get home. If you come home late, Monsieur will make it a double. When the machine is low on ingredients, Monsieur can place an order at the local liquor store for delivery.

The robotic bartender is in the funding stages now.
