Lobbyists Report Compensation For Lobbying County Officials — Lobbyists, mainly lawyers representing developers, reported getting paid a total of almost $700,000 to lobby Montgomery County officials in the first half of 2013. A big chunk of that money — $200,000 — came from a developer hoping to influence the White Oak Science Gateway Master Plan. About $96,000 was paid to attorneys at Bethesda-based Lerch, Early & Brewer. Attorneys there represented key property owners in the Chevy Chase Lake Sector Plan, among others. [Washington Post]

Four Chosen To Compete For P3 Purple Line — The state on Wednesday announced four teams of companies that have been chosen to compete to build and operate the Purple Line light rail. Six groups submitted bids in December. [Maryland Transit Administration]

Mulch Sale For B-CC Sports Boosters — The sports boosters at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School will hold a mulch sale fundraiser March 15 and March 16 to raise money for field maintenance, a new sound system and wall padding for the main gym, more weights for the weight room and other items at the school.
