Jay Z invites Maryland boy to rap on stage (Video)

WASHINGTON – A 12-year-old boy from Maryland had his dream come true Sunday.

The boy, who gave his name as Justin, got a chance to perform on stage with the famous rapper Jay Z, also known for being Beyonce Knowles’ husband.

The New York Daily News reports Jay Z was performing in Greensboro, N.C. Sunday and was taken with Justin’s sign that said, simply, “Can I rap for you?”

Yes, yes he could.

Justin climbed on stage and took the mic. His mouth moved silently as he quickly went over the words in his head and, after a few deep breaths, he began a confident a capella version of the song “clique.”

He didn’t perform it all though — Jay Z interrupted him to say, “not the drug dealing part,” before letting Justin finish.
