D.C. man accused of fatally shooting his mother’s fiance

WASHINGTON – A D.C. man is facing murder charges after allegedly shooting his mother’s fiance on New Year’s Day.

Prince George’s County police arrested D’Juan Renay Hunter, 38, early Thursday morning in Bowie.

Police say Hunter went to the home of his mother’s fiance, Raymond Quattlebaum, to visit with family. While he was there, he shot Quattlebaum during a confrontation.

Hunter ran from the home in the 9100 block of Goldfield Place in Clinton.

Police found Quattlebaum suffering from apparent gunshot wounds around 9 p.m. Jan. 1. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hunter faces first degree murder and related charges.
