17-year-old Waldorf boy with autism found safe

WASHINGTON – Diamonte Godoy, 17, was found safe and unharmed at a farm in southern Prince George’s County, Charles County Sheriff’s officials say.

Godoy was found shortly before 9 a.m. Thursday.

WASHINGTON – The Charles County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in its search for a missing 17-year-old with autism.

Diamonte Godoy, 17, was last seen Jan. 1.

He was shopping with his family at a Walmart on the 11900 block of Acton Lane in Waldorf, Md. Godoy left the store at about 8:30 p.m. without telling his family.

Police describe Godoy as black, 5-foot-9 and about 130 pounds, with shoulder length hair in twists. He was last seen wearing a green wool coat, red sweatshirt, jeans and red and blue Vans shoes.

Anyone with information on Godoy’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff’s Office at 301-932-2222.
