WASHINGTON – A fire ripped through a home where the owner was hoarding items in Southeast D.C. early Thursday morning.

The blaze occurred on M Street near Minnesota Avenue and the homeowner was able to escape unhurt, NBC Washington reports.

Investigators haven’t figured out what caused the fire but hoarding conditions were found inside the home. It is not yet clear if the hoarding conditions played a role in the fire.
