Police seek suspect in Laurel bank robbery

WASHINGTON – Police in Laurel are looking for a man who they say robbed a bank Saturday morning and fired a shot into the ceiling before leaving with an undisclosed amount of money.

The police say that a man walked into the PNC Bank at 390 Main St. at about 9 a.m., fired a shot into the ceiling as he entered the bank, robbed the bank and ran off. They say he left the River View Court area in a maroon-colored sedan.

No one was hurt.
