The developer of the old Lot 31 has begun the concrete pouring stage of construction, which might mean some early morning disruption for residents nearby.

StonebridgeCarras, the Bethesda-based developer building 250 units in two buildings at Woodmont and Bethesda Avenues, sent a letter to residents earlier this month advising them of 3 a.m. concrete pours.

The developer said the pours are necessary because of the heavy volume of concrete at the Plaza Level of the site, which will also include a 940-space public county garage underground.

Through March, expect no more than two early morning pours per week. The developer said to expect concrete truck traffic on Bethesda Avenue, noise from a concrete pump on Bethesda Avenue, a crew of about 25 workers and noise from concrete vibrators, circular saws and other small electric hand tools.

Lighting will be kept away from the nearby homes and apartments, according to the letter, shared via the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Regional Services Center. Woodmont Avenue is expected to be reopened sometime in late 2014.

The developer has been in almost constant communication with nearby residents after several said they were caught off-guard last year by mid-day excavation blasting.
