Police: Man drowns in Centennial Lake

WASHINGTON – Howard County police believe a man slipped on ice, fell into Centennial Lake and drowned on Sunday morning.

Police said there is no indication of foul play and his body was discovered by a passerby at 9 a.m. Centennial Park in Columbia, Md., remains temporarily closed during the investigation.

The victim has not been identified, but police say he appears to be in his 50s.
