WASHINGTON – Washington Redskins’ owner Dan Snyder has been criticized for his leadership of the team — and fans who think they could do a better job may put their money where their mouth is.

One fan is leading an online campaign to raise $6 billion to purchase the Redskins from Snyder.

Restaurateur and Virginia native David Chang aims to raise the money through funding platform “Kickstarter” to purchase the Redskins. Chang, 36, says the idea is not that far-fetched — Green Bay’s NFL team is owned by its fan base.

Earlier this week, Chang took to Twitter to ask for fan support in purchasing the team.

Forbes recently valued to ‘Skins at $1.7 billion — the third most valuable team in the NFL according to their data.
