Snow-day beer? New brewery opens its doors in Shaw

WASHINGTON – D.C. is welcoming yet another brewery to its growing list of sudsy hot spots. Right Proper Brewing Company opens Dec. 10 at 5 p.m. at 624 T St. NW — just in time for a cozy snow-day beer.

According to the Washington City Paper, the brewery — co-founded by Thor Cheston, who directed beer programs at Pizzeria Paradiso and Brasserie Beck — will serve eight beers on draft at its Shaw location.

At the opening, Right Proper Brewing Company will start out with four house beers — a grisette, a golden ale, an unfiltered pilsener and a pale ale — three collaboration beers and a guest tap, DC Beer reports. The 65-seat brewpub also features a menu full of snacks, sandwiches and entrees from Chef Matt Richardson.
