Plenty of companies pledge to hire veterans, but only those that follow through make the Military Friendly Employers list.

This year, eight Washington area firms are among the 100 that made the list compiled by Victory Media Inc., and two of those are in the top ten. San Antonio-based USAA ranked first.

The Washington area firms on the list are:
