Juvenile stabbed at Metro station in D.C.

WASHINGTON – Metro and police say a juvenile was stabbed during a fight involving several people at the L’Enfant Plaza Metro station.

Officers responded to a report of a fight at the station at 7th Street and Maryland Avenue Southwest around 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

Metro spokeswoman Caroline Lukas says several people were involved in the altercation, but she didn’t know if it occurred on the station platform or closer to the entrance. She says the victim’s condition was not available, but the victim was alert.

Lukas says Metro Transit police may have detained a possible suspect, but it was not clear if any arrests were made. D.C. police say the victim is a juvenile.
