Prematurity Awareness Month

logoMOD.jpg

Every minute of every day, a baby is born too soon and too small. Some face challenges in the early months and years, others face lifelong disabilities or may not reach their first birthday.

The March of Dimes is working to improve the health of babies by fighting premature birth, birth defects and infant mortality. Support their efforts in November during Prematurity Awareness month. Help raise awareness by going to facebook.com/WorldPrematurityDay and joining the virtual campaign to share stories, give hope and save lives.

There are additional ways to support the March of Dimes quest to understand and end prematurity. To make a donation and learn how you can get involved, contact the March of Dimes Maryland-National Capital Area Chapter at (571) 257-2330 or visit marchofdimes.com/metrodc.
