14 taken to hospital after crash involving Metrobus

WASHINGTON – More than a dozen people were taken to the hospital Friday morning after a car struck a Metrobus in Northeast.

The crash happened around 10:15 a.m. at the intersection of North Capitol Street and Rhode Island Avenue.

Metro says the car ran a red light and hit the No. 80 bus that was headed to Fort Totten station.

D.C. Fire and EMS says it transported 14 people to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. One was the driver of the car.
