Ten to 12 residents of a Battery Lane apartment building are being taken to hospitals after an apparent gas leak this morning.

MCFRS units have evacuated 5015 Battery Lane, a 10-story apartment building, after high levels of carbon monoxide were detected on the first and second floors.

Paramedics set up a hazmat area to treat victims.
