‘Salute to Service’ to offer service members benefits info

WASHINGTON – A one-stop event at Nationals Park Saturday is expected to attract at least 500 combat service members, veterans and their families.

At the Veterans Administration Medical Center’s “Welcome Home: A Salute to Service,” service members and vets will be about to get information on health care and benefits, employment, education, financial counseling and housing opportunities from a variety fo service organizations, the city and community partners.

The event will be held from 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. at the Nationals Park Event Tent on First Street and Potomac Avenue, SE.
