Springfield man charged as voyeur, took photos at Lincoln Memorial

WASHINGTON – A Springfield, Va., man has been charged with voyeurism and assault on a police officer after police caught him at the Lincoln Memorial allegedly taking photos of women’s private parts.

U.S. Park Police arrested Christopher Hunt Cleveland June 19, according to The Washington Post.

Police say Cleveland used a camera with a telephoto lens to shoot photos of women in dresses sitting on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.

An officer also saw Cleveland taking photos of women at the Reflecting Pool, the Post says.

When police approached Cleveland, a warrant says he tried to remove the camera’s memory card. When they told him to drop the camera, they say he didn’t and then resisted arrest.
