Driver crashes into more than a dozen vehicles in D.C.

WASHINGTON – A driver left a trail of damage in the District on Wednesday, hitting more than a dozen cars and a school bus Wednesday afternoon.

D.C. police say it happened on the 4200 block of East Capitol Street Northeast, near Benning Road, around 4 p.m.

They say the driver hit at least 13 cars and hit the back of a school bus. He tried to run away, but he was caught in the 4700 block of East Capitol. He was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.

Police tell WTOP that no one was hurt.
