The list of Arlington’s dog-friendly outdoor seating areas is out, just in time for fall’s more al fresco-friendly temperatures.
Arlington dog lovers were celebrating earlier this year when the county reworked its health department rules regarding dogs in outdoor seating areas of restaurants.
Whereas dogs previously had to stay outside the fence around any blocked off outdoor seating area — making for some pretty tangled leashes — the county in April created a variance that would allow dogs at outdoor dining areas.
Restaurants had to apply for the variance, and thus far, 27 of them have received one, according to the county. The full list is below:
