Lemon Meringue Treat Takes Bake Bethesda A Pie Title

The winners from Sunday’s 4th Annual Bake Bethesda A Pie Contest include a lemon meringue treat, bourbon and chocolate creation and a few others out of a field of about 40 entries.

Central Farm Markets hosted the event, judged by Aviva Goldfarb, David Hagedorn and Ed Lichorat, at its Bethesda Elementary School market.

Julia Sheehan won first place in the kids category with her bourbon and chocolate pecan pie. Benson Silverman won first place in the adult category for a lemon meringue pie.

Spectators got to taste the pies with a $5 donation to Manna Food Center.
