14-month-old falls from second story of Rockville building

WASHINGTON – A toddler sustained serious injuries after falling from the second story of a Rockville building Tuesday morning.

The 14-month-old fell from the window on the second story of a building in the 1300 block of Templeton Place at about 8:30 a.m. The child, whose name and gender have not yet been released, sustained serious, but not life-threatening injuries, according to Assistant Chief Scott Graham with the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service.

The toddler is being treated at a local trauma center, Graham says.

Rockville police say the screen was pushed out and it appears accidental.
