Kokesh to remain in jail ahead of trial

WASHINGTON – Gun rights activist Adam Kokesh will remain in jail as he awaits trial.

The Washington Post reports Kokesh requested he be released from jail into a high-supervision program.

The judge cited his prior arrests and bond violation, in addition to weapons and illegal drugs found in his Herndon home in denying his request.

Kokesh has been in D.C. jail since July 25, after he posted a YouTube video of himself armed with a shotgun in Freedom Plaza on July 4th.
