D.C. police: Man offered ride to woman, sexually assaulted her

WASHINGTON – D.C. police are asking for help finding a man they say sexually assaulted a woman at gunpoint.

Police say the woman was walking near Texas Avenue and Ridge Road in Southeast at about 12:01 a.m. Thursday when the man approached her and offered her a ride. After she accepted the ride, the man allegedly produced a gun and assaulted her.

The suspect may go by the name Mike, police say. He is described as black, between 50 and 60 years old and bald on the top of his head with gray and black hair on the sides.

Police say he was driving a silver four-door Buick with gray interior, black and gray floor carpeting and the word “Buick” on the steering wheel.
