In Secret Recordings, Gansler Talks Frank About Governor’s Race — At a meeting with supporters, Attorney General Doug Gansler said Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown, one of his gubernatorial opponents, has a thin record and is relying on the fact that he’s black. Gansler also criticized the role of the lieutenant governor, saying, “The attorney general always wins. We’re against criminals, we’re for consumers, we’re statewide and we don’t vote.” The Montgomery County native also predicted he will “crush [Brown] in Montgomery County,” in the June primary. Takoma Park state Delegate Heather Mizeur is also running for the Democratic nomination. [Washington Post]
